About Our Presentation

Changing Competencies for Quality Professionals:  What do we do with what we’ve learned?

ASQ and the International Academy for Quality (IAQ) conducted a research study in 2016 to understand the changing competencies of the quality professional for the next 10 years.

The research was focused on the following areas:

  • What are the key changes you see in business in the next 10 years?
  • What are the skill gaps in the current Quality Professional?
  • What skills do they need to meet business needs in the next 10 -15 years?

>> DOWNLOAD THE RESEARCH STUDY HERE.

At the 2017 ASQ World Conference on Quality and Improvement, the findings of this research study were shared.  The findings identified the change in competencies, but didn’t dig into solutions.

Paul’s presentation will summarize the findings of the research study, and present some possible solutions – that may challenge our thinking as quality professionals.  Part of the presentation will be interactive discussion where participants will share ideas on how to prepare for our futures!
