About Our Presentation

Quality is critical to the timely and efficient navigation of the product development cycle.  Quality allows you to have confidence in your data which is critical for determining which projects to shelve and which projects to push further into development.  This presentation will detail how quality is key to the principal of “failing fast”, specifically in the preclinical research portion of the product development cycle.

About Our Speakers

Clayton Bjorklund is currently the Compliance/Audit Manager for Medtronic’s Physiological Research Laboratories.  The past 12 years of his career have been in the QAU role for GLP preclinical research. Through that time he has been the lead QAU on over 90 submission projects.  Clayton is a Certified Quality Auditor through the American Society for Quality and a Certified Lean Sigma Green Belt.  His current duties include the overall leadership responsibility for developing and implementing plans necessary to ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory requirements.   This includes providing leadership on the long-range decisions/goals of Medtronic on FDA regulatory issues.

Terry Ricke is currently a Compliance Audit Specialist and an IACUC Post Approval Monitoring Compliance Liaison for Medtronic’s Physiological Research Laboratories.  Terry is a Certified Quality Auditor through the American Society for Quality and is in the process of completing her Lean Sigma Green Belt certification.
