St Cloud State University Master of Science in Medical Technology Quality
Brian Rembish will provide an overview of how the MS in Medical Technology Quality degree program was developed with industry, what the program covers, and the value to the industry and students. St. Cloud State University (SCSU) has been closely collaborating with the Medical Technology Industry in Minnesota since 2005 in identifying and developing customized applied learning for the industry in the form of specialized Masters programs. The Master of Science in Medical Technology Quality (MSMTQ) is taught in the SCSU Twin Cities Graduate Center in Maple Grove along with other graduate degree programs including the Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs & Services and the Master of Science in Applied Clinical Research. The strong success of these programs has been due greatly due to the close collaboration between the Medtech industry and academia. In this presentation Brian will outline what they have learned from the Medical Technology Industry to define what Medical Technology Quality Leaders need to know.
Juran’s Vision of a Century of Quality
Over the past fifteen years the Juran Center for Research in Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality has been giving out the Juran Fellowship Awards to promote research in quality management. This research should have significant impact on both scholarship and practice. By promoting scholarship in quality management, it was Dr. Juran’s hope that we create a century of quality. Dr. Kevin Linderman will present an overview the research in quality management at the University of Minnesota and their vision for the future. Recent winners of the Juran Fellowship Award will share experiences and potential contributions to the field.
